Earlier this spring, Roots stylist Liz Vanier took this gorgeous girl and gave her one of the funnest makeovers we’ve seen yet! She did a complete head of highlights, deep brown low-lights and punky copper and red sections!

A great new trend is cropping up on runways this spring and we LOVE the way it looks.

The gladiator sandal, already a summer favorite, is literally taken to new heights this season. Knee high gladiator sandals have been all over catwalks. We’ve been drooling over them for days and wanted to share a few of our favorites.

The Althuzarra Sandal is a classic blend of styles. The tanned leather makes it the perfect pairing for a printed summer dress!

Not for the faint of heart, Tom Ford’s 2013 spring collection walks the line between ultra-femininity and intensity. The gold accents are on trend, and the black leather makes it ideal for a night out.

For a more casual look, we have Jeffrey Campbell + Free People’s take on this years hottest foot trend. A tribal print and more relaxed fit bring comfort and style together.

In February we had the pleasure of doing an extremely special haircut. Finn Amar, 4 years old, came in to have his hair cut for his friend, Ruby.

Ruby had just been diagnosed with Leukemia for the second time and Finn wanted to help. He managed to raise $600 in just one week. Ruby and her mom are back in Vancouver for treatment, while her dad and brother remain here in the Valley. They expect to be there until August.

We were so touched by the love this young boy had for his friend, that we wanted to do what we could to help. For the month of April, “rubies” will be available for purchase of $1 or more in the salon. All proceeds will go to Ruby Poirier and her family.
