You can “Make a Beautiful Difference“ by running your own 3 month Roots fundraising campaign. Simply register your event with Roots through our website and you’ll receive customized campaign donation cards to distribute at your event. Ask your supporters to simply bring their donation card with them to their next haircut appointment, and for every card that Roots receives back, they’ll make a $5 donation.
The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society is putting on a fundraiser on January 28th at the Whistlestop Pub which includes live dance music with Big Fun, 50/50 draws and a silent auction! Tragedy struck a Kye Bay family in October of this year in the form a devastating fire that robbed Sheryl and Andrew Wales of their home, their possessions and their keepsakes. Jessica Salo, a friend to the family decided to throw a fundraiser in hopes that they might raise money to get Sheryl and Andrew back on their feet.
Tis the season after all! The fundraiser is called Luscious Locals in Lingerie and will take place at the Elks Hall in Courtenay on December 10th. The event, aside from focusing on the lingerie fashion show, will include dancing, a raffle, a 50/50 draw and a silent auction.
Roots is supporting the event and hope that you’ll all consider getting out there and doing the same!
Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Tickets are available at The Romance Shop, Bop City Records, Retroactive, Art and Soul Tattoo, Electric Playground Fashions, Sure Copy and Vicki Form.
